irounova: Looking for an extra set of hands to help out on a family motor yacht sailing in the greek islands (owner-captain). Very relaxed timetable and a friendly, not professional atmosphere. We are looking for people to become part of the "family". If you can lend a hand with cooking, it ll be greatly appreciated! We eat everything and make sure we source top quality products, we are obsessed with good food.. We are a family with 2 small children (3 year old and a newborn) and are looking for a FEMALE crew member due to sleeping arrangements (sharing cabin with the nanny). Send us a message for more information and further discussion.

Family/friends boat usage only.

We are avid kitesurfers and chase the wind in Greece. We also have a stand up paddle and plenty of scubadiving and snorkel gear and you'll have plenty of time to enjoy watersports on a daily basis, we are very sporty people and appreciate it when people take care of themselves!

We take care of all the costs on board, eating out, wine etc! This is a great chance to learn everything about sailing, while enjoying the summer!

So I'm combining them both first piece of the resort A 1963 Chris Craft Constellation 52' designed around a huge gally /pantry service area ! And a 1968 Shoal Sharpie 32' Ketch rig :) flat bottom 1&1/2 draft with lead up front to beach the boat on super light no frills, that will change . 5 years into project in water soon I hope I'm building a new hull for the 52 Connie so if you feel like helping build 2 boats and sail/ motor into the next chapter in life . By the way 50 years old and have enough work to Finnish boats on my own dime ,want partners in future ! Timeline on my own end of July 2017 leave Miami to Bahamas and down the islands from there .there is an immediate live aboard available it's on the hard on facing an inland waterway between cow pastures behind is a storage for boats so quiet 2 hours from Miami reason there is a thief and I'm tired of loosing ! I work -I save - I buy supplies - I work on boat , so no life to speak of other than thoughts of why can't I be in the water yet I want to go !

Aussiebargeman

Lady/s to Cruise the French Canals with me

Crew wanted: Recreational Crew
Vessel: Power Boat
Size:24 m
Location: France
Destination: France
Logged in: 3 hours ago

Aussiebargeman: I will be cruising down the Soane and Rhone rivers from Vitry le Francois to the Midi canal in the south of France. Between 2 and 3 months
A lady that speaks French would be perfect. Your double cabin with ensuite is available now.
This relaxing way of boating is Not for hardened sailors. If it is blowing too hard we don't go. If it is raining we don't go. If it is pretty we stop and explore. A leisurely short hop trip. To watch this French TV film of my friend Alex and I cruising and going up a barge lift, copy and paste this link

Please note.. Ladies only and the less experience the better.

Pictures and videos of what canal cruising is like are on my FB page https://www.facebook.com/fidutia or www.fidutia.info

You dont need experience to relax for the summer. Canal and river Barging doesn't quite give the adrenalin rush as sailing does and there is no set destination. Instead of rolling hills of green white capped waves you see green hills capped with castles and chateaus and beautiful forests. You can stop mid voyage and take in the ambience. It is calm and collected and is like being in a living and moving post card. Night watch requirements. Turn the steaks over on the BBQ and open another bottle. I am looking for one or two ladies who want to experience a gentler way of exploring Europe. Although my barge was built over 100 years ago and worked very hard in her younger life, she like me has retired and has been given all the comforts of a modern apartment. She has a cabin either end ,each with their own ensuite. The very large wheel house is perfect for dining with an all round view, while the lounge with its wood fire is cosy on a colder day. The spare cabin has 2 beds including en suite. A washing machine, dryer, take away the drudgery of your old chores. The maximum speed for me (by law) on the canals is 6 kilometres per hour and with the obstacles such as locks, the maximum distance per day is about 20 to 30 kilometres, but who wants to pass a pretty village to explore. The boat has the required TRIWV (safety) certificate required for barges over 20 metres in Europe. As the barge is self sufficient, night stops can be just about anywhere on a canal and in towns and cities we can usually tie up in the heart. It is a great voyage for painters, photographers or those just wanting to soak up the history and culture of Europe. I am not on any timetable and therefore don't need to move but if someone wants to join me and apart from food etc, share the running cost such as engine diesel (about 1.50 a km to share) then they will have a great experience. Wot about wine did I hear you ask. In France it is in the taps.
