Lugger Ibis Urgent

Crew and volunteersneeded for Cornwall, Falmouth to Pembroke, wales this August!

Crew wanted: Amateur crew
Vessel: Sailing Boat
Size:42 f
Location: United Kingdom
Destination: Ireland

Lugger Ibis: Ibis is a beautiful 1930s fishing lugger restored in 2007 by her current skipper Lee Moody.
She is a 42ft lug rig sailing boat and used to travel and fish sustainably.
Ibis has lived in Cornwall for almost ten years now and spent her summers sailing from here to France and SW Ireland. She now has the opportunity to go to wales for another major restoration so she will need lots of help to prepare her for the journey up there and some strong, adventurous spirited types to help get her sails up!
The skipper Lee has lived on off grid and on boats for almost 30 years so he is quite a character with a lot of useful knowledge to share and can give a great insight into this lifestyle for those with a passion for freedom and adventure. Conditions can be a little uncomfortable on board occassionally, don't expect a 5* luxury yatch! expect real authentic tarry old sailing boats and a truely independent, exceptional lifestyle.
Lee is most happy to have enthusiastic, hardworking individuals on board.
flexibility is a good quality too as sailing will depend on local weather predictions and perfect conditions. As Lee does not charge passengers/crew and is not earning a living he asks that any crew contribute towards all food costs.
We work hard and play hard so we have a dynamic of mutual respect, fair exchange and determination to achieve ambitious projects. You can learn a lot here but need to put in hard work in return. No previous skills needed but an interest in sailing, boats and self sufficiency with bags of enthusiasm and courage is ideal!

if you have an interest in learning boat building skills please come along to Falmouth to help lee and ibis prepare to go to wales in august. Small sailing boats are available to accomodate crew who want to help ibis get ready!

As we have no internet, please call Lee for a chat. 07788186818 or look up or
