Trumansailor007: Chasing something or running from something... Everyone has their own reason for yearning for a life at sea. I would like to be a captain someday, but I need to put more time in as a swab though first. Cruising the caribbean would be my first choice of destinations. Mainly because of my love of diving and snorkeling. I play guitar and sing, already work rotating shift work, so the night shift comes natural to me. I also understand every boat needs a captain and a crew, because someone needs to be in charge (that would not be me) . I spent 6 years in the navy and did 6 months out to sea on two different occasions. I was an MM, which means machinists mate, which translates to mechanic in civilian terms. I have A BS in nuclear engineering technology and a technician's certificate in instrumentation. I feel I can be quite an asset for the boat's maintenance and operations.
