rrodr123: Grew up in the islands of The Florida Keys. Been boating my entire life! Have spent the last year working on sailing yachts as mate and skipper ranging in size from 33ft to 96ft. Landré: Hello, my name is André and I am looking for jobs as a delivery skipper for ocean crossing or shorter passages. I am based in Geneva, Switzerland during summer and in St Martin, Lesser Antilles during winter.

I plan to work for charter companies during the winter season in the Caribbean but in spring, summer and fall, I am available to work as a delivery skipper. Planning to apply for YM Ocean Sail in 2017 and YM Offshore Power in the future, I'm also interested in building experience on powerboats as first mate or crew.

RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Sail commercialy endorsed, my first language is French, I also speak fluent English and have good knowledge of German. I have a very social and friendly character with good communication skills. I enjoy learning from others as well as sharing my knowledge and passion for sailing. My last passage was the delivery of a 44’ sailing yacht from Seattle to Brisbane as co-skipper and navigator.

I am professional, hard worker and I take my skipper’s responsibilities seriously. I also have a good knowlege of mechanics and boat repair having worked on refits as well as boat maintenance during inshore and offshore passages.

October 2014 delivery of Benneteau 43 from Marseille, France, to Lefkas, Greece, Australian owner.

Opensea: My wife Nia and I have been sailing together as a team for 6 year. We have a passion for sailing, photography, and food. We are currently working for an amazing charter company but have gaps in our schedule for freelancing. We have sailed across the Pacific on our own boat on our 5 year sabbatical. We also have extensive sea miles with large vessels as well. We create the highest level of service and safety to our clients.. We both have a MCA yachtmaster 200gt that is commercially endorsed and Nia is a Licensed, award winning chef who is passionate about food and presentation. She won the USVI boat show culinary competition in 2015 and won the BVI boat show 2016 prestigious best entree' for boats over 60 feet and the best desert over 60 ft. 2016. We know what its like to own a boat, and with that experience we have a sense of ownership, maintenance, and safety to all the boats we step on board. I am extremely proficient in diesel maintenance and troubleshooting as well as rigging and splicing experience. We can provide a trove of references of very reputable people in the industry and abroad and from current employers. For US flagged boats I have my USCG 100 unlimited ticket as well. Before sending me a message please don't ask if I can dock you boat. I can dock your boat. Trust me. No insurance claims ever and especially with docking. BestOfBothWorlds46: We are applying for a couple position, him as deck or skipper and her as a hostess/steward/cook. She is a bubbly 54 easy going delightful person who has background in event planning/management. she makes healthy but very tasty meals and can cater to small and large groups. I am a retired Navy man (23 years) in the process of obtaining my Captains license (OUPV). I am a fit 57 years who is mechanically competent, a navy diver (scuba) and can operate/maintain electronics.

We both love the water and want to enjoy our second half living our dream. We navigated our Silverton 41 MY from Northern Virginia to Ft. Myers Beach in October 2016 and now reside on our boat. I upgraded the boat, made necessary repairs and made the passage without issue. My experience in proper watch standing, seamanship and skippering in the navy provide invalvuable temperament and judgement. We are non-smokers.

1. Age of 15 – Operated and maintained a 1957 17’ Chris Craft inboard with a Straight 6. This included engine and hull maintenance.
2. Age of 17 – Learned to Sail on a Hobie Cat.
3. Age of 25-40 – Operated and maintained submarines, to include:
a. Contact Coordinator – Required to know intimately the Rules of the Road providing course adjustment recommendations to the Officer of the Deck based on intended transit track and dynamic shipping situation while on the surface.
b. Diving Officer – Responsible for the submarines proper navigation, ballast and trim during ships operations. This required a clear understanding of ship’s weight distribution and compensation as weight shifted on a daily bases.
c. Ship’s diver responsible for hull surveys and underwater repair as needed.
d. CPR training in both submarine and diver courses.
e. Crewed on coastal sail racing team for two years.
4. Forty years experience operating various vessels, including various power and sailing vessels rented through the U.S. Navy, corporate boats and personal jet skis, a 23’ powerboat and 46’ motor yacht.
5. Experience in maintaining marine mechanical, electrical, and water systems.
