Wanderlust and my Blue Mind

Position (1st): Recreational Crew
Position (2nd): Chef
Age: 47
Nationality: canadian
Location: Canada

Mermaid007: Hello!

After working like mad for decades, I have decided to take a year (or more) off to feed my overwhelming wanderlust and focus on my life long desire to sail!

In an age when so many are anchored by stress and anxiety, the notion of casting off and getting lost in my "Blue Mind" has overcome me in the best of ways.

The "Blue Mind" is a mildly meditative state characterized by calm, peacefulness, unity, and a sense of general happiness and satisfaction with life in the moment. Inspired by water and everything associated with it. It is where I have always felt most at home and found my authentic self. Swimming is between me and water and nothing else. The moment the water encloses me, I feel blissfully at peace.

Experiences are inherently more important to me than possessions. I like to spend life in the present, so getting to a destination is not my goal . . being there is.

While nothing is more exhilarating than discovering the gifts in our natural world, I do love a good conversation with kindred spirits about the meaning of it all, perhaps over a nice glass of wine. I like to read and practise yoga daily and I plan to study Spanish in the coming year as well.

What I lack in sailing experience, I make up for in attitude!
I am a keener!! a team player with a positive attitude, great sense of adaptability, lots of common sense and a thirst for adventure.

Cooking is a passion of mine, and I am confident in my abilities in the galley.
I love to prepare healthy, delicious, food inspired by all corners of the world . . especially Asia, India, Europe and the Middle East.

I am currently looking for opportunities August 2017 June 2018 and will travel just about anywhere for the right opportunity.

I would be grateful for an opportunity to acquire sailing skills and experience under the watch of a seasoned and safety-minded Captain/crew :-)

If you feel I would be a good fit, please reach out and say hello.

CynthiaCastle: Hello!
I am a natural at Sea & wish to eventually sail the oceans.
I have abundant experience in many areas & am very willing
& ambitious, to contribute in all the ways possible.

Previously I've been out on commercial fishing boats, cruises,
catamarans & have boat-sitted in the Florida Keys.
My Deck Hand experience was on a Charter Boat, giving 3 - 6 hour tours
of the Gold Coast, Australia, 4 years ago.

I'm free spirited, adventurous & fearless, with wisdom from
50 years on Earth! I've spent the past 25 years traversing the globe
& will joyfully love to experience it from the sea.
Thank you for considering me for a position on your boat.
Please message me with any further questions.
I'm currently staying in South Beach, Miami & will be until I find a boat opportunity.
Enjoy a lovely day !

Sailor and a passionate cook

Position (1st): Chef
Position (2nd): Captain/skipper
Age: 36
Nationality: Slovenian
Location: Slovenia

boRoot: Photographer and Filmmaker by education, vegan chef for last few years with restaurant experience. I have a skipper license for boats under 24m.

Sailing my whole life on our family 34 Grand Solei, friends Elan 31, few races on JustinTen (10 OD boats built for the "Grand Prix of Slovenia" Grade 1 Match Race Championships), and many other regattas, but only in Adriatic and a small portion of Mediterranean.
I've been also taking care of our Grand Solei 34 and 7m power boat for my whole life, so sanding, polishing gelcoat, painting, and all other boat jobs are in my blood. I currently own and sail with 420 International and 470 Class, together with my girlfriend.

I enjoy climbing, diving, slackline walking, skiing and playing musical instruments. I am a Google certified expert for AdWords and search. I know how to make webpages. I've owned an online advertising agency firm for few years, but now I am searching for more relaxed kind of life.

In the last 5-7 years, I found my passion in cooking, especially vegan, but also in all other cuisines. I am looking to expand my sailing and cooking experience, see the world, and meet new people on the way.

I like to meet new people and have a laugh, talk about anything and enjoy some good wine! I'm very easy to be around and likeable.
