jballss84 : I have a couple of days a week that I would like to put to good use and gain some sailing experience. I have zero experience with sailing but I am enormously keen to learn and pick things up really quickly when shown I do have common sense .

I can easily travel to parts of the South West and I live in Cornwall. Although I have zero sailing experience, I've spent lots of time in the sea on the coast surfing and kayaking.

I'd love to join a crew one day once I gain more experience and see new (warmer) places.

I have a broad education and vast interests. I appreciate quiet moments and connective conversation.

maxashton2: HH Hello, I recently started sailing as a hobby, and have completed my competent crew course. I want to continue sailing for as long as I can, especially because at the moment i'm taking a year off school and work and other such things. I'm very open minded and positive about things/I am willing to help out with everything basically. Hope to learn more about sailing and get more experience. And of course, have a good time.
I'm mostly looking to get experience, but then the reason for that is that I love travelling by sail.

Prefer to Sail When I Sail

Bluemind36: I grew up sailing and racing mostly Hobies and Prindles, but life took over in my mid-twenties and I moved on. My sailing days were behind me, all but one bucket list item a sailing cruise in the Caribbean. I went in 2013 and was hooked again, but this time with big boats.

I completed ASA coursework (101, 103, 104, 106, and 114) and have been back to the Caribbean 2 times for week-long cruises as the only working crew aboard. I want to learn and experience as much as possible, to ultimately skipper a boat.

I prefer to sail when I sail, and skip the distractions of modern day life. I'd rather listen to the wind in the sails than to music, I'd rather get to bed early than watch a movie or party, I'd rather get up with the dawn and prepare for the day than listen to the news.

I'm happy to cook, wash the dishes and clean the boat. Also happy to take the helm and raise the sails.

I go boating every week. I trailer my 11' motor boat, and regularly handle a 18' and 22' motor boat.

Feel free to contact me with questions.

stevecagi: I am a retired company owner, happily married and with permission to travel and explore as I wish.
My body is 60 years old, in good shape fit energetic and adventitious, my mind is still that of a 25-year-old.

I have travelled the world extensively both for business and pleasure, having recent retired I have the urge to sail. I admit I have no sailing experience but I am financially self-sufficient and very keen to learn. I am at the moment checking out local theory training facilities to at least gain the basics i.e. Day Skipper etc.
I hold a current pilot licence (airplane) over 20 years, I have a part share in a fast complex aircraft having taken all the theoretical exams and currently Instrument rated.
I believe I could be a valuable member of any crew, prepared to undertake all duties.

if you need a honest reliable crewmember of companion for short or long term ocean going then please consider me

happy to supply references and Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks
