Morocco from North to Agadir: Night Sailing on a Trimaran, 9th Sep!

Martin (57) and Katja (55) are sailing on a Neel 43 trimaran called biosphera. Martin is a professional skipper, and Katja has plenty of sailing experience. We’re looking for crew to join us on the passage from Tangier to Agadir (Morocco) – ideally starting around September 9th, when the wind looks good. We’re a bit flexible with timing, though.

The trip will be about three days and three nights at sea, and we need people who are comfortable standing night watches. If we can get berths in Rabat or other ports along the way, we’re happy to break up the journey.

We’re easygoing, love to sail, and enjoy good company from all sorts of backgrounds. Clear communication and a sense of humor are important to us. Our sailing adventure is all about discovering UNESCO biosphere reserves and sharing stories along the way – check us out at www.biosphera.life

  • Boat descriptionThe boat sails somewhat like a regular monohull – thanks to the keel and the weight in the center, we can make good progress upwind. But with the outer hulls we have very little heeling, so we don’t sail at a big angle. In that sense, we think it combines the best of both worlds: the advantages of a monohull and a catamaran. The boat offers a lot of open space inside and out, but not much privacy. There are three cabins that are more or less enclosed, plus two single cabins that are fully private but only accessible from outside through a hatch – so not ideal for anyone who feels claustrophobic. We have a well-equipped galley and a shared bathroom. A watermaker gives us some flexibility with water use, and there’s plenty of solar power and lithium batteries. We’re also equipped with Starlink, so we can download weather reports while underway and stay in touch. For safety, the boat carries all required equipment, including a life raft, fire suppression system, EPIRB, and a Garmin InReach. There are six automatic life vests on board.
