Social Media Volunteer – Galileo Maritime Academy, Phuket
We’re an MCA-approved international maritime academy in Phuket, Thailand, training future yacht crew in everything from STCW and Powerboat to Master of Yachts.
We’re looking for a creative Social Media Volunteer to help us grow our reach online. This isn’t just about shooting reels (though you’ll do plenty of that) – it’s the whole package: planning content, creating it, posting it, and tracking what works.
You’ll be surrounded by great material – lifeboat launches, fire school, sea survival, deck training, engineering courses – and a campus full of international students. We want you to help turn this into engaging stories for Instagram, Facebook and maybe TikTok, and build stronger interaction with the yachting community.
What you get in return:
We don’t cover flights, but we’ll thank you with training that’s actually useful in yachting. Depending on your results, you could earn:
Powerboat Level 2
MCA STCW Basic Safety Training (the must-have for yacht crew)
AEC 1–2 if you’re more into engineering
Or even Master of Yachts modules for advanced candidates
So basically: your social media skills in exchange for real, industry-approved qualifications.
You’ll live on our campus with a private room, daily life inside Asia’s biggest marina, and a multicultural team (Brits, Ukrainians, Thais, Filipinos, Dominicans). You’ll also meet sailors and crew from around the world every day.
