From New Orleans to central and south america

Location:
Currently in New Orleans, looking for a sail to Mexico.
About me:
I'm heading to south America to make a research in traditionnal music and try to save those precious knowledges. In the meantime i want to learn more about agriculture in those country, mainly syntropie in brasil.
Experience:
I've been sailing around 3000 miles in my life, from France to Lisboa, from Canarias to Cabo verde and from Cabo verde to Senegal.
I've been fishing on traditional sailboat many times.
