Boat descriptionTinorca is a 43', 13.3 meter, sloop, Aluminum construction, 13.5 tons, 8mm hull, 5mm deck, built in Cape Town, South Africa, specifically for the southern ocean, in 1993, moved to Richards Bay shortly thereafter, sailed extensively on the African east coast before returning to Cape Town. Traditional wine glass shape, 3 cabins, stove fridge, etc, very comfortable and sea worthy, dual fore sails, to make downwind sailin a breeze, all the safety equipment, 6 man life raft, Tinorca is surveyed for a South African category A, unrestricted offshore sailing, rating and has all the necessary requirements and equipment to take on the southern ocean. As 43' yachts go she is quick, and comfortable in a big sea, easy to sail single handed, all lines are aft in the cockpit, there is a rigid doghouse to keep the weather out, Sailing in south African waters I've gotten cold enough often enough to appreciate that. She has all new raymarine instrumentation, auto pilot, ais, radar, etc, Sails, and mast and rigging.
