We are an American married couple preparing to circumnavigate under sail, for the second time. We're downsizing from 83' to roughly 62, as it will be only us, no kids this time. Oyster has a nice yacht in that size, and we have acquired one.
We did this last 14 years ago with our 3 boys. This time, we know where we're going! We're looking for just the right crew to join us for a special voyage. Perfect opportunity for the right candidates.
My wife loves to sail and can stand a competent watch. and I'm very experienced with more than 50,000 sea miles. I like to run 3 watches at sea, so a competent watch captain/deckhand is critical. Engineering experience a must.
Below decks: cleaning, cooking and shopping. Yacht admin and scheduling. Oversight of repair works.
Ideal position for maximizing sea miles and yacht management experience towards running a professional crew on a blue water boat.
This job will result in a lot of sea miles, seeing beautiful places on a lovely, very well equipped, performance yacht with a fun and softly sophisticated owner/crew.
We left Palma in October, completing the transat in December in St. Lucia. Have been cruising the Carib since. US (Maine) next, then the Pacific and French Polynesia after that. Expecting Panama depart in March 2027.
