Looking for one crew member starting in Croatia, heading to Greece and Turkey

Looking for one crew member to come aboard. I will be around Split, Croatia in early June to drop off some friends and will be sailing Greece and Turkey for the rest of the year. You count on anywhere from a week or longer.

I am not looking for money as I am doing this anyway. Just a fun/chill person with a sense of humor, either experienced or keen to learn, and responsible enough to help with all things required to sail/maintain a boat (sail handling, anchoring, night watches if/when needed, food prep and clean up, wash downs, etc).

Others who have joined have been from 24 to 60 years old, male and female. One woman who sailed from Tahiti to NZ with me over many months has gone on to get her Yachtmaster and is now one of the most competent sailors I know!

About me and the boat…. I left San Francisco at the end of 2019 and have been sailing around the world on my 2018 Hallberg Rassy 412 ever since. The boat is well kitted out and I have maintained her like new. You will have your own cabin.

  • Boat descriptionHallberg-Rassy makes one of the most solid, high end blue water sailboats out there. They are also know for their incredible fit and finish. She is their model 412 (monohull sloop) and was built in 2018 for me. Since then I have maintained like new and added lots of additional conveniences. Most important thing on the boat is safety (next being communication). Bad decisions and rushed itineraries are not the way to go. As far as safety gear, you name it, she’s got it. All have been certified as of 2024/25.
