Steel Ketch, custom-built 62-foot steel ketch (Fellowship design), originally launched in 1993 and thoroughly renovated and optimized in Denmark in 2007-11, with additional upgrades in 2018 and 2025. The ship is powered by two new Perkins 135 HP engines, offering outstanding manoeuvrability in combination with a bow thruster - ideal for docking and tight harbours. The engine room is clean, professionally maintained, and easily accessible from both the side and above. Design & Interior: Monte Christo unites modern technology with classic elegance, inside and out. The navigation and safety systems are fully up to date, while the interior features timeless craftsmanship with noble teak wood finishes and authentic design. The layout includes: • 4 cabins with 7 berths • 2 bathrooms, each with toilet and shower • A spacious saloon and galley with seating for 8 people. Perfectly suited for long-distance and comfortable liveaboard life. Sailing & Handling: Sails are operated via professional electric furling systems, making sail handling smooth and effortless. With a draft of only 1.60 meters and a flat double keel, Monte Christo is exceptionally well-suited for shallow waters and tidal cruising areas. Dual helms: • An interior wheelhouse for comfort in any weather • An exterior cockpit for open-air steering — both equipped with professional instrumentation. Electrical & Energy Systems: The entire electrical system was renewed and features: • 3.5 kVA generator • Professional-grade charger/inverter system • Wind turbine, powering the batteries and even select 220V lights — allowing independent operation without shore power. Extras & Equipment: • 4-meter Valiant dinghy with Mercury 40 HP outboard, mounted on a robust davit system • Generous bathing platform • Extensive safety equipment, including: 2 life rafts, Automatic argonite fire suppression system in engine room, Manual and electric bilge pumps, Bilge water alarms, Smoke detectors and additional firefighting equipment.
