Watch: Cruising off of Beachy Head
Now in NE Sardinia, then down to Caglirari in the South & finally the passage to Monastir
I AM LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL CREW TO HEAD DOWN TO SOUTHERN SARDINIA AND THEN A DIRECT PASSAGE TO TUNISIA (MONASTIR) GOOD FITNESS & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL. 300 MILE PASSAGE
'DEPARTING IN MID TO LATE SEPTEMBER'
So far, I have sailed her with 2 crew plus myself, to NE Sardinia from Plymouth UK. 2500 Nm plus.
I am looking for crew to sail with me from Olbia, Sardinia to Tunisia (Monastir.)
We will hop down to Cagliari over 2 days, then fuel & provision the boat for the passage South to Monastir.
Fit and regular sailors with competent crew to Dayskipper or higher with plenty of recent sailing experience will be sufficient (Quick and agile boat handling skills are very important with Med mooring and Marinas in general. You will need to be fast on your feet and be ready to take action in a split second.
I am easy going and friendly so I much prefer company to being a solo sailor. Very happy to share my knowledge and experience as besides my sailing experience, I am a retired college lecturer so I am patient and enjoy teaching.
I'm hoping to make new friends, learn new languages and cultures. Many of my former crew, stay in touch, become firm friends and sail with me again as this is my life now and my home is my boat wherever it may be :)
Competent and safe skipper. Well kept yacht.
Went on a lovley and lively day sail on the solent with Richy.I find him to be a competent skipper with attention to safety and knows his boat well. he is also quite a tidy skipper (to my liking) and always keeps the cockpit clutter free. The boat sails well and has all the safety equipment. It is very well maintained and looked after, really clean on the inside too. I would recommend sailing with him, and look forward to do so myself.
