Boat description35 foot aluminium sloop in excellent condition and fully equipped for short-handed offshore / adventure sailing off the beaten track. Open plan interior with two comfortable double sea berths + saloon. Galley with fridge and oven. No hot water. Since I bought her in 2020, she went through a number of refits and has been constantly upgraded and improved. This included new standing rigging, new sails, new anchors, major upgrades to electrics and electronics, all new safety equipment (PLB, EPIRB, liferaft, AIS distress beacons, three VHFs, two of them with DSC, AIS transponder with Wifi and alarm, offshore flares pack, lifejackets with harness), new tender and OB engine, new batteries, new solar panels and wind charger, new top of the range electric autopilot, two new heating systems, SSB radio transmitter with Pactor Modem, new radar screen, etc.; as well as a lot of painting :) All safety equipment on board is up-to-date. Reliable Yanmar 35 HP engine with 180l tank (giving a 500 miles range under engine). I prefer to sail her two-handed, but occasionally take two crew for short passages. I sailed over 20 000 miles with her, half of it single-handed. She's not fancy, but she's a strong, reliable offshore cruiser. We’re currently in the Caribbean for the winter. I'm planning to head North to the East coast of Canada in the spring, and from there to sail to the Arctic, possibly via Ireland or Scotland.

Experienced sailor

I first met Christophe when sailing a passage from Portugal to Canaries with him on his beloved aluminium longkeeler Apsara in 2023. I quickly found out that he knows his boat inside out and is quick to understand and solve any situation that might occur during an offshore cruise. Nevertheless, he lets his crew participate in all of the navigational tasks or is happy to provide you with knowledge and guidance for the aspects you feel less comfortable with. A good opportunity to learn! As a politically and ecologically engaged person, Christophe is very interesting to talk to during long watches and has a lot of stories to tell. I had the pleasure to sail with him again in 2025 and get to know his home waters in Western Ireland. Thanks and fair winds to you!

Great teacher

Christophe is definitely an old salty dog. A lots of stories to tell, a lots of knowledge to share and a nice boat to sail. He definitely knows how to sail and is also a great teacher as I've started practically from scratched with him, and be told to be a great crew afterwards. He's also a great cook, be aware of spices though (but he adapts very well if he's reminded while cooking jaja) I always felt safe, listened to and I've learned a great deal thanks to him. To summarize I would say: communication is easy, safety comes first, and plans can change By the way I've done two transatlantic crossing and would happily sail again with him
