Exploring ancient Mediterranean trading routes this Autumn
I'm leaving the West coast of Ireland as soon as possible, and heading South toward South Brittany, Spain, and then on to the Mediterranean.
I'm planning to spend the Autumn exploring ancient trading routes in Southern Spain, Sicily, Greece, Turkey, and North Africa, then possibly head to the Canaries for the winter, before heading back to Brittany in the spring.
I have room for one crew for all or part of the journey. Join for a minimum of two weeks between October 2026 and late March 2027
Vegetarian food, No smoking or alcohol on board. Beginners accepted. Financial contribution to expenses TBD.
Retired professional skipper. Numerous references from former crew members, including female solo travellers, available on request.

Experienced sailor
I first met Christophe when sailing a passage from Portugal to Canaries with him on his beloved aluminium longkeeler Apsara in 2023. I quickly found out that he knows his boat inside out and is quick to understand and solve any situation that might occur during an offshore cruise. Nevertheless, he lets his crew participate in all of the navigational tasks or is happy to provide you with knowledge and guidance for the aspects you feel less comfortable with. A good opportunity to learn! As a politically and ecologically engaged person, Christophe is very interesting to talk to during long watches and has a lot of stories to tell. I had the pleasure to sail with him again in 2025 and get to know his home waters in Western Ireland. Thanks and fair winds to you!
