Join Our Mile-Building Sailing Group!
Hi Everyone,
Are you interested in becoming part of a vibrant mile-building sailing group that charters boats in the Solent?
We organize both weekend and week-long charters, where all costs—including charter fees, food, diesel, and mooring fees—are shared evenly among us. Currently, we have about 6 members, ranging in age from their early 20s to late 50s, with varying competencies from Competent Crew to Coastal Skippers. We’re a fun and social group that values camaraderie!
Requirements
The minimum experience needed is Competent Crew. We make sure that crew members qualified as Day Skipper or above take turns as skipper. Everyone is expected to fully participate in crewing duties, including night watches, cooking, and cleaning.
Upcoming Plans
This year, we’re considering a channel crossing to Cherbourg and the Channel Islands, as well as sailing along the Southwest Coast to Weymouth and Brixham, with the exciting possibility of exploring the Scilly Isles.
