Crew Wanted – Offshore Passage Nouméa to Sydney
Estimated departure: Late March (flexible, weather window dependent)
Estimated duration: 6–8 days to the port of entry (Coffs Harbour)
Hello,
We are a European Franco-Dutch couple currently in New Caledonia. We are looking for a third crew member to join us for the passage from Nouméa to Coffs Harbour / Sydney to make the trip less tiring and share watch duties.
Our boat is a 2004 Dufour 385 Grand Large monohull, Australian-registered. She is equipped with an autopilot, watermaker, and a 40 HP Volvo Penta engine.
The boat has 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms. Our third crew member can choose between:
• The V-berth cabin with en-suite (more spacious), or
• One of the two aft cabins (more comfortable for the passage).
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience standing night and day watches
• Offshore sailing experience
• Good knowledge of English (German or Dutch also acceptable)
• Valid documents for New Caledonia and Australia
• Ready to cook one main meal/day in turn
We offer:
• Flight from Sydney to Nouméa (or reverse) covered
