South Florida Day Sailing, Skill Building & Good Company
I’m looking to connect with positive, reliable, and adventurous crew members for relaxed day sailing and occasional longer trips from the Fort Lauderdale/Dania Beach area.
The boat is a spacious 36-foot Hunter Vision sailboat currently being prepared for regular cruising. Initial outings will focus on local sailing, practicing maneuvers, becoming familiar with the boat, and enjoying time on the water. As experience and compatibility develop, there may be opportunities for coastal passages, trips to the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and eventually wider Caribbean cruising.
Experience is welcome but not essential. A good attitude, reliability, clear communication, respect for safety, and a genuine interest in sailing matter most. I am happy to share what I know, and I also appreciate crew members who bring sailing knowledge or practical boating skills.
Crew should expect a relaxed but safety-conscious environment. Depending on the outing, activities may include sail handling, docking practice, navigation, anchoring, light boat preparation, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and simply enjoying the ocean.
This is initially a recreational sailing and skill-building opportunity rather than paid employment. Each outing, schedule, responsibilities, provisions, and any shared expenses will be discussed clearly in advance. Women with a genuine interest in sailing are especially welcome.
I prefer to meet briefly in a public place or have a video conversation before arranging the first sail so that we can confirm expectations and compatibility.
