Netherlands to Isles of Scilly

Taking advantage of favourable NE winds next week to set sail to the south of England.

2 friends looking for an experienced sailor to hop on board next weekend in The Netherlands for a passage to the English South Coast and/or Scilly Isles. 3 hour shifts divided by 3 so everyone gets the graveyard shift once during 3 to 4 days trip.

Possible to get off in Falmouth or make the return journey with us after some time in the Scillies. A berth has been booked in the Solent during Cowes Week. From there, back to Holland.

Classic 36ft Van de Stadt, feel free to ask for more information.

Must have valid passport and UK travel authorisation (ETA). Must be comfortable with solo night watches. I need a team player who isn't fussy about food or sleep, this is not med cruising on a new charter boat.

  • Boat descriptionA true classic sailing yacht with timeless lines, traditionally built in steel. This SEAL (zeehond), however, designed by E.G. van de Stadt for his eldest brother J.H. van de Stadt, offers a modern twist: a lightweight polyester (fiberglass) hull. This makes her noticeably lighter and far more responsive on the water, while still featuring the same trusted rigging—resulting in a remarkably agile and genuinely performance oriented sailing experience. Inside, she surprises with a beautifully crafted wooden interior and an impressive sense of space for a 36-foot yacht, including a spacious galley, making her warm, inviting, and perfect for extended cruising or comfortable living aboard. Orca navigation, AIS, VHF with GPS and AIS,handheld with GPS. No life raft and no dinghy. Hot water & heating available.

I had captain Katja many times as a crewmember so she is more than experienced now. Fun company always in for a midnight swim. Great sailing area in a small but comfy boat. One advice: three bottles of red wine a day as fee is recommended to keep her happy ;-)
