Looking for someone who wants to cruise the East Coast/Bahamas
I'm a 28 year old solo sailor and remote worker on an S2 11.0C, currently in Stuart, FL while my boat is under repair from a lightning strike. My only concrete plans are to go to the Bahamas this January, so my fall plans are still up in the air, depending on when the boat is ready (hopefully in September).
I prefer to cruise either with someone else on my boat, or with a buddy boat, and I won't do more than a 24h passage without crew. So I'll have some opportunities for passages on the East Coast this year, but nothing is on the calendar yet. Also, given my plans are up in the air, I'm open to input from crew. Because I work remote during the week, I travel on weekends, taking Monday or Friday off if I need to, so I tend to stay in one place a bit longer than a lot of cruising boats. Also, if you work remote too, I have a gen 3 starlink, 1000W of solar, and 600Ah of LiFePO4 batteries so that won't be a problem.
I usually sail solo so I don't need someone with a ton of experience, mostly just to share night watches. What is important is that we get along well. I have 2 cabins with double berths but it's still a small space for two people. And if it's a good fit I'm not opposed to having someone on the boat longer term, especially for the Bahamas next year. My schedule is pretty flexible and I'll update this as I know my plans, but reach out if any of this interests you!
