Crew wanted – Lysekil, Sweden → Denmark → Kiel → North Sea → Netherlands → Dunkirk
Departure: Around 28 August 2026
Boat: S/Y SENOME – Laurin 32, 1974
Starting point: Lysekil, Sweden
Destination: Dunkirk, France
Possible to join for one or several legs
I am looking for one or two crew members to join me aboard S/Y SENOME, a Swedish-built Laurin 32, for her passage from Lysekil, Sweden, towards France.
The provisional route is:
Lysekil → Swedish/Danish coast → Denmark → Kiel → Kiel Canal → Cuxhaven → German North Sea coast → Netherlands → Belgium → Dunkirk.
Departure from Lysekil is planned around 28 August, depending on weather and final preparations.
The ideal option would be to join the boat directly in Lysekil, but joining or leaving at another convenient port along the route is absolutely possible. Crew interested in only one section of the voyage are welcome too.
This is not a race or a rushed delivery. The objective is to bring SENOME safely towards France, choosing sensible weather windows and stopping when appropriate.
SENOME is a solid classic Swedish cruising yacht, Laurin 32, built in 1974, approximately 9.7 m long. I have recently acquired her in Sweden and I will be aboard throughout the passage as owner.
Who I am looking for
Sailing experience is obviously welcome, particularly for the North Sea section, but the most important things are being reliable, easy-going, safety-conscious and willing to participate in life aboard.
Depending on experience, participation can include:
* steering and watchkeeping
* sail handling and manoeuvres
* navigation and weather discussions
* cooking and normal life aboard
* helping with everyday boat tasks
Experienced sailors who can contribute to passage planning and watchkeeping are particularly welcome.
I am also happy to consider someone with less offshore experience who is motivated, responsible and wants to learn.
Possible legs
Lysekil → Denmark
Denmark → Kiel
Kiel → Kiel Canal → Cuxhaven
Cuxhaven → Netherlands
Netherlands → Belgium → Dunkirk
Or, ideally, join in Lysekil and stay aboard for several legs.
The schedule after departure will remain flexible because weather and safety come before fixed dates.
If you are interested, please send me a message telling me a little about yourself, your sailing experience, where you are currently located and the dates for which you could be available.
Looking forward to meeting some good sailing companions for SENOME’s first voyage south.
