Indian Ocean Crossing - Darwin to Mauritius/Réunion Island
Hi all,
I've just arrived in Australia (Thursday Island) after a solo passage from Vanuatu and I'm going to head to Darwin in the upcoming weeks.
My plan is to leave Darwin mid/end of
Septembre to sail to Mauritius/la Reunion with maybe a stopover in Cocos Keeling Islands.
I'm looking for a couple of - ideally female - crew to join me on this exciting blue water crossing.
Looking for crew with some sailing/offshore experience, comfortable at sea and in close quarters, keen to help with watchkeeping, general boat maintenance (cooking, cleaning) and life on board.
Expenses (fuel, food) will be shared. The diet on boat is vegetarian but I don't mind if my crew want to fish a bit.
The boat is a simple but comfortable 39 ft-long monohull, safe and fully equipped for offshore sailing. No starlink, just a satellite phone for weather forecast and texting.
I'm a 32yo French skipper and I've been sailing the Pacific for a year and half since I bought the boat in French Polynesia. It's now time to head West!
