Cruising Greece to Albania, Italy, Corsica, Spain

Having only cruised in the eastern Mediterranean (Adriatic to Turkiye), it's time to explore the western Med. This will be my last season on the boat and I'm looking forward to new adventures.

I am an older woman and I cannot manage my boat on my own, except under motor. So many jobs require 2 people (anchoring for example). From experience, my boat runs best with 3 people.

Depending on the leg, it may just be day hopping or it may be passage making - passage below. I will anchor when possible but will use a marina if the weather dictates.

I'm looking for people who are friendly, capable, passionate about sailing and want to have a great holiday while also helping to manage the boat and keep it clean and running well.

You must be illicit drugs-free (alcohol in moderation ok), considerate of other people and, preferably. smoke-free.

My sailing plan is to leave Aegina this week (16th Sept) with a quick stop at Alimos and then through the canal to Albania, Italy, Sicily, Vulcano, Sardinia, Corsica, Balearics and finally to Spain. That's the plan and, of course, plans can change with weather etc.

I expect you to pay for your own food (on and off the boat) and personal expenses. I will pay for boat expenses.

If there are parts of the itinerary that appeal to you, please contact me, preferably through WhatsApp.

  • Boat descriptionLuna is a 4 cabin boat but I use the bunk room mostly for storage. There are 2 double cabins aft and my cabin in the forepeak. There are 2 heads, one with a separate shower and a very well equipped galley. Each cabin has reading lights, a 12v fan and 12v socket for car chargers. A lifejacket is available with tether. The safety equipment on board is to meet the New Zealand requirements. Currently, the liferaft (6-man) is out of service but will be serviced as soon as I find someone who can do it. Most of the safety equipment has been replaced in the past few weeks and various other items will be replaced before leaving Athens. Elan yachts are known to be fast cruising boats and I've been really impressed by her performance, particularly as they are a a little heavier/stronger than other production boats due to additional stringers etc. Luna has had considerable upgrades over the last few years including standing rigging, engine, instruments (excl autopilot which will hopefully be done this coming week). There is a full package of Raymarine instruments including radar with a Vesper Marine AIS system. As backup I also have a Garmin GLO2 GPS receiver that links to Navionics on my iPad and a handheld, battery GPS receiver.
