Cost sharing - Friends Crew & Helpers - Seychelles to Madagascar

2026 Update - Seychelles To Madagascar

Seychelles To Madagascar
I plan to leave in the Autumn for Madagascar. I am looking for crew with some experience to keep a night watch and help with the maintenance and running the boat.

Shared costs - include food, fuel, local fees and other consumable items for running and maintenance. The total costs for the trip are impossible to estimate at this stage and depend on weather etc.

Aims and Aspirations - We will be sailing in the more adventurous, interesting and off the beaten track islands and Atolls interacting with the local culture as much as possible, avoiding those over crowded tourist spots.

We are not for everyone - especially if you are a strict vegetarian or only like western food, prefer visiting tourist resorts, really need to be plugged into your smart phone continually or if you are on a very tight budget, you probably will not be happy. We expect to buy and eat the best quality fresh food available but this is not especially expensive either.

Our first time sailing couldn´t have been better! Mark is as experienced as it gets and the Meniscus of Gweek is oldschool beauty. There's plenty to do and we learned a lot. Luckily, Mark is a patient teacher and on top of that a fantastic chef. If you have the chance to go sailing on board the Meniscus, please tell the Gremlins we said hi!
