Retired active fit Lady looking for a volunteer crewing position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a volunteer crew and Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and adventures along the way.
Retired single fit and active mature female. Have current working with children blue card. RYA competent crew quals. RYA seamanship navigation. Currently completing VHS marine radio . Volunteer crew on tallships and monohulls . My goal this year is to again crew from Gold Coast up the eastern coast this autumn winter to Cairns and everything in between. Have notched up over 2000 nm last 12 months. Sailed in regattas, completed more helming and crewing qualifications and competent crew for Tallship on rotational shifts and nightwatch as well as live aboard. Retired tertiary /tafe teacher. Loving my sailing journey, wanting to keep build nm for log book. Wanting to spend my retirement with adventures, experiencing new people and cultures. . 2024 backpacked with young international backpackers adventure touring, Perth to Darwin, in swag , sleeping in the desert, with drop toilets and dingoes. Swam with whale sharks, tunnel swim with freshwater crocs, Trekked Uluru to Adelaide in the desert, underground Coober Pedy, Darwin, Arnhem Land, Litchfield NT. Sept 2024 took up sailing, back to doing weekly 5km parkruns and sundays with running group. Swim, run/gym most days. Looking to add to my adventure travels and continue to sail and snorkel along with island hopping from Gold Coast to Cairns.
