From Brazil - Looking for a crew and Mile building as VOLUNTARY work position
Hello, Captains! I´m Guilherme, a 45-year-old Brazilian with a deep respect for the ocean, a thirst for adventure, and a lifelong family heritage of seafarers. While my father, uncles, and grandfathers all made their lives at sea, I took a different path—until now.
I am looking for an opportunity to turn my theoretical knowledge into practical sailing experience. I offer a unique blend of military discipline, academic background, and unwavering dedication to any crew willing to teach me the ropes. I am a "blank canvas" with no bad maritime habits, ready to learn your way of doing things.
What I Bring to the Deck: Military Discipline & Safety: As a Sub-Officer in the Military Police, I am highly trained to handle high-stress situations, maintain situational awareness, and respect the chain of command. I know how to follow orders promptly and keep the crew safe.
Teamwork & Leadership: As a volunteer Sea Scout Leader, I thrive in team environments, understand group dynamics, and possess basic outdoor and survival skills.
Educated & Respectful: I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Law and Sustainability and work as a Professor. I am civilized, polite company for long passages and possess a deep, academic respect for marine environments.
Physical & Mental Agility: I am proactive, strategic, a fast learner, and addicted to the adrenaline of new challenges.
Clean Habits: Strictly non-smoker and zero drug use.
Maritime Qualifications: Brazilian Navy "Arrais Amador" (2025): Certified to pilot motor and sail vessels (coastal/inland limits).
Languages: Fluent Portuguese, basic English and Spanish.
I am looking for a boat where I can work hard, be useful, learn the art of sailing, and experience life at sea. If you need a loyal, intelligent, and highly responsible crew member who will never let you down, I would be honored to come aboard.
