Looking for a Voluntary work, Friendship, Housekeeping/Stew or Medical Staff position
Hi! My name is Adrian, I’m 23 years old and currently travelling in New Zealand. I’m looking for a crew position on a sailing boat heading to Australia (or anywhere exciting!).
I have no sailing experience yet, but I learn quickly, work hard, and bring a good sense of humour and positive energy. I’m happy to help with anything on board – cleaning, cooking, watches, whatever needs to be done.
I speak English, Russian and German, I’m physically fit, not picky with food, and easy to live with in small spaces. I have experience with physical work and enjoy being outdoors.
I’m fully insured, have a valid passport, and flexible with timing.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked in several different fields and environments, which helped me become adaptable, reliable, and team-oriented.
I served in the German Armed Forces, where I learned to stay calm in stressful situations, follow orders precisely, and work as part of a team. I’m also a certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and worked in emergency medical services, which taught me responsibility, clear communication, and quick decision-making.
In addition, I’ve worked in hospitality as a bartender and waiter – both in Greece during two summer seasons and in New Zealand – and I spent time working in retail and a recycling factory, often doing physically demanding tasks.
I’m comfortable with long days, standing or moving for hours, and dealing with fast-paced, high-pressure environments. I enjoy working in a team but can also handle tasks independently. I’m social, respectful, and easy-going – and not afraid of hard work or getting my hands dirty.
Back in Germany, I’m part of the volunteer fire brigade, where I also support the children’s fire service as a supervisor.
