Eager to Learn, Ready to Work
Hi! I’m a journalist currently traveling the world as a digital nomad. I love diving and have always wanted to learn how to sail. I hold a German sport boat license for coastal waters (SBF See) and have some practical experience with boats.
Back in Germany, I owned a Wibo 730, a steel sailboat from 1970, measuring 7.3 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, with a draft of 1.1 meters. Although I never learned to sail it, I did navigate the boat under motor, mainly along the German North Sea coast and around the Weser River area.
I also took care of the boat myself — sanding, repainting, and doing small repairs — mostly learning by doing. While I wouldn’t call myself a boating expert, I picked up quite a bit along the way. I’ve since sold the boat because of my travels, but I’m determined to finally learn sailing — which is why I’m here on Crewbay!
Besides boats, I’m a fantastic cook and speak fluent German and English, decent Polish, and have A2 level in Indonesian. I can solder electronics and would love to learn welding someday.
