Competent and happy to do the work and learn
I've been day sailing on a number of boats around the San Francisco Bay in all weather types, and now find myself with unlimited free time! I would like to spend some of it sailing on passages and in other locations for longer periods and deepen my experience.
At this point I am helming a 43" under power and sail, trimming sails and strategizing on tacks and gybes.
I have experience with electrical systems, and am a radio ham, and have spent time changing various engine hoses and plumbing lines in the bilge, plus time up the mast.
Having experienced a few emergencies on one or two boats, I am also good under pressure and am calm in a crisis.
I can cook also, and sailing makes me hungry.
