Hello! I’m Danny/Daniel, Swedish-American dual citizen, aspiring commercial skipper and marine conservationist. I’ve recently contributed as crew on a 3+ month, 11,200 mile catamaran relocation from Montenegro, destination Brisbane, with my role completed in Tahiti. Shortly prior to that, I worked on a challenging delivery from Djibouti through the Red Sea and Suez Canal to Greece. And in 2025, I served in a six month role as 1st Mate, Caretaker and acting Skipper aboard an Oceanis 411 in the the Med. I continue to seek opportunities to meaningfully contribute on new passages and vessels while expanding my own skills.
I’m in very good health and maintain a high fitness level - no physical restrictions, ailments or sea sickness - and lead an active, low-maintenance lifestyle. I bring a proactive "anticipate and adapt" mindset aboard, absolutely love to troubleshoot, crawl around in lockers and solve issues with resources at hand, while being seen as easygoing, considerate, stable and low drama, and sometimes even kinda funny. I also enjoy trying to up my game as a galley cook. :-)
