Fresh from the Agean with the itch to get back on the water - Novice sailors looking to learn the ropes

Hi! Me and my wife, Kat, are fresh back from getting married in the Sporades, where we were lucky enough to spend a day aboard a 45-foot sailing yacht. We loved everything about being on the water, and can't wait to get back out there.

Kat has a little sailing experience, although not for about 10 years (but I'm sure she would pick it back up very quickly), but I'm a fresh out of the box novice.

I do bring some skills to the table however - I'm a firefighter with specialities in rope rescue and rescue from swift water. I also have significant medical training and experience including Basic Life Support.

We are both looking for the opportunity to learn under a friendly Skipper, and get a few miles under our belts! We're available both close to home (the Solent) and further afield. We are up for everything from day-sails and weekend excursions, all the way up to passages and weeks afloat.

We are no-drama, easygoing, and (we like to think) easy to get along with. We're both bright and learn quickly, and can't wait to get into the nitty-gritty of sailing, learning everything we can, as well as the art of yacht maintenance.
