Traveler Dreaming of the Sea - Hoping to Crew and Learn
Hello,
for the second time, I've decided to leave my old life behind to travel the world. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and used to have a stable job as an engineer. However, the desire for freedom and adventure was stronger, so I set off once again. During this journey, I hope to fulfill a long-held dream: learning how to sail.
I'm quite flexible in terms of time and location, have no fixed route, and am open to new experiences. As you can see in one of my profile pictures, I’ve already cleaned a sailboat. While hitchhiking through New Zealand, I got a lift from a sailor and spent a night on his boat. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to sail with him, as I had to continue my journey.
Although I don’t have sailing experience yet, I’m a quick learner, enjoy working with my hands, and I’m not afraid of hard work. I’m physically fit and have spent several days and nights on boats without ever getting seasick. I’m very active and enjoy sports such as diving, climbing, surfing, skydiving, …
I’m open-minded, and mentally strong. I’m excited to meet sailors here who are willing to give me the chance to join them on their travels, learn how to sail, and maybe even form a lifelong friendship.
