Looking for a an opportunities to build experience and learn skipping!
Hello!
I'm George. I am fairly new to the sailing world, but am very eager to learn more and go on adventures.
First time i set foot on a propor sailing boat was just last year, but i quickly learned the basics, as I lived on it for about a year as part of my job. My main job on the ship had nothing to do with sailing the ship, I was there as a social worker looking after a few troubled teenagers as part of a social project that has been going on on the ship for a few decades.
Anyways, I still picked up a few things about sailing, and after getting back, i promptly did the austrian sailing certificate for 20 SM off the coast. So I know the theory, but now I want the practice!
That's why I am looking to get more experience learning from others, to hopefully be a skipper myself in a few months or years. I am accustomed to living on ships from my one year under extraordinary conditions, and I think therefore I can get along well with others in the close environment. I am not shy of addressing things in the room, and aspire to have a good climate and good atmposphere on the ships I am on!
