Hi, I want a sailing adventure!
I am ready to go now. (Jan / Feb 2026)
I'm an A1 Audio Engineer, and spent a decade flying all over the US doing live production shows and events. I've done a lot of traveling. A couple years back I bought an RV and did some boon docking and camping from the Colorado Rockies to California, embracing the motto: "live simply and be grateful"
I'm kind of open to anything / anywhere. A one month boat delivery? Sure thing. Island hopping? Would love it! A night man watch for oceanic passages? Sign me up!
Currently very active hiking 5-10km a day, and putting in consistent work to be fit for sailing. I'm mentally capable, mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to apply my knowledge towards sailing. I've been a skater, martial arts instructor, climber, drifter (race cars), a DJ, sound engineer and small business owner.
I have open water scuba certification, and look to free dive, fish, cook, explore, hike, sail, and generally enjoy life. I can fund my own way, and have reserves. Over the last 6 months I've put in considerable time, effort, and focus, all aimed towards positioning myself to comfortably step into the world and do a sailing adventure. Everything is packed up and ready to go, so I'd only need a few days lead time to begin.
I'm easy going, and have a good sense of humor with a healthy balance of seriousness. I like to challenge myself, and am never bored.
I want to enjoy my time on this planet, explore, have fun, and one day perhaps find myself cicrling the globe.
A bit more about me:
I've recently sold my RV, and have closed out that chapter. Was an adventure! Learned a lot doing that solo. Even bought a little piece of land for a future endeavor.
I have funds to travel for the next few years, and for what it's worth, that's my goal.
I'm open to do small voyages first if that makes sense before committing to a longer journey, and I look forward to being part of a team and meeting new people.
I have no obligations to another human being for anything at the moment, so I can be ready fairly quickly. I'm in Denver, so I'll either fly, drive, or perhaps take a train to the waypoint to begin. I'm traveling light, with only a backpack for the trip.
I've given this lifestyle a lot of consideration over the years, (been a member here for 14 years now) and I believe my experience traveling light and living in an RV recently will serve me well on this next adventure. While I'm ready for leisure and lazy days on a beach somewhere, I'm a bit of a mechanic, detailed oriented, and am ready to help keep your boat in good working order and do my part.
I've had a little bit of lake sailing experience, and from the boating I've done while working shows or on vacations, I know the lifestyle works well with me, I just need to get some practical oceanic experience and put in the work.
Let's talk, and let me hear why you're looking for crew, and see if i'm a good match!
looking forward to it :)
