Mechanical engineer seeking offshore crew position for Indian or Pacific crossing
I’m a mechanical engineer with strong hands-on experience and currently active in sailing, regularly participating in regattas since October 2025.
I’m looking to join a serious crew for an offshore passage, ideally heading towards north western Australia or Fiji, Tonga, or French Polynesia. My goal is to gain bluewater experience and be part of a committed and reliable team.
I bring practical skills onboard — I’m confident with tools, maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical systems (engines, pumps, general onboard equipment). I’m used to solving problems and staying calm under pressure, which I believe is valuable during offshore sailing.
I’m happy to take part in all aspects of life onboard: watchkeeping, sail handling, cooking, cleaning, and maintenance. I’m adaptable, easy to live with, and respectful of shared spaces.
Available immediately and willing to travel within Australia to join the right boat.
Looking for a safety-oriented skipper and a well-prepared boat for a proper offshore adventure.
