Crew looking to join the american continent
Crew (now in Guadeloupe) available from Lesser Antilles (Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, Ste Lucia....) to South or Central america. In march april or may.
Also interested to go from guadeloupe to Martinique.
Hello sailors,
My name is Jean a 27yo Physio roaming around the world.
After a great atlantic crossing, I now know that sailing is appealing to me and calls me to learn more, experience different conditions, and meet other sailors.
I am currently looking for a boat leaving from the Lesser Antilles toward Central or South America (preferably avoiding Venezuelan waters just to reassure my grandmother!).
I am currently available in Guadeloupe but can also join you in another island if necessary.
(I'm not sure if you'd care but my goal will be to improve my Spanish while volunteering in construction work along the way)
This is the part where I should sell myself a bit :
- 3500 nautical miles offshore, mostly downwind sailing, but actively involved in maneuvers: helming, hoisting, lowering sails, gybing, furling the genoa, reefing, minor electrical work. (although I have to admit I had to translate this words in english)
- Solo watchkeeping (AIS and visual checks, autopilot adjustments)
-Aware of the risks of sailing and very prudent
-Mild seasickness, well managed with medication of which I have a lot
- No one has died eating my meals, many have enjoyed it
- trqined in first aid
- Also some experience sailing small catamarans on lakes
- Willing to contribute to the onboard expenses of course
- I travel with my guitar that can accompany singers or stay quiet.
If you are possibly interested, lets talk or even meet in Guadeloupe if you are there
Hoping to see you soon, Fair winds
