Pacific Crossing to Australia – Full or Partial Passage
Hi there,
my name is Tobi, I’m 30 years old and from Germany. I’m currently traveling through the Americas with my self-converted van and have been on the road for the past two years. I’m very flexible with both time and location and am now looking for my next adventure.
My goal is to cross the Pacific by sailboat, with French Polynesia as my first destination and Australia as the final goal. I’d love to explore the islands of the South Pacific along the way and I’m open to joining for the full journey or for individual legs.
I recently spent one month sailing around Curaçao, where I learned the basics of sailing and gained my first real hands-on experience on board. Before that, my only other sailing experience was a trip from Panama through the San Blas Islands to Colombia, where I was mainly a passenger and did not actively sail.
My long-term dream is to own a sailboat myself and travel the world with it. I want to build on my current experience and learn as much as possible along the way. I’m interested in all aspects of life on a sailboat, including sailing, navigation, maintenance and repairs.
