Biology & Psychology Major | Nitrox Scuba Diver | Mechanically Inclined | Seeking Arctic Expedition Experience
I am a disciplined, high-energy individual currently completing a double major in Biology and Psychology (graduating December 2026). I am actively pursuing my sailing license and seeking to gain mileage/experience, specifically on expeditions focused on marine biology, ice-melt documentation, and climate change research.
Why I’m a Strong Fit for Your Crew:
Scientific & Analytical Background: My academic focus allows me to contribute meaningfully to data collection and documentation. I have a deep interest in trauma psychology and sensation/perception, which provides a unique lens for documenting the personal and environmental impact of Arctic shifts.
Mechanically Inclined: I am highly tech-savvy and adept at working with complex systems. From building high-performance media servers and PCs to general troubleshooting, I am comfortable maintaining equipment in demanding environments.
Medical & Safety Training: I have previous professional experience as an EMT-Intermediate and Phlebotomist. On a remote expedition, having someone with medical training and a "calm-under-pressure" mindset is a significant asset.
I am an active PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Scuba Diver. I maintain a high level of physical fitness, am a non-smoker, and bring a structured, disciplined approach to shipboard life.
I lived in Chile for three years and am familiar with the logistics and mental shifts required for long-term travel and remote living. I speak English and Spanish.
I am looking to log sea miles and assist in meaningful projects while working toward my sailing certifications. I have a particular interest in photography and documenting the "Ice Frontiers" to help tell the story of our changing planet.
I am available for the 2026 season and forward. I am looking for a team that values hard work, clear communication, and a shared passion for the environment.
