Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship or Mile building position
Hi there!
I'm Jessica, 46, based in Vancouver, Canada. I'm stepping away from my corporate career to finally chase a lifelong dream of crossing the Atlantic under sail. I am seeking to cross West to East and available from beg. June onwards. I realise that this is late in the season so I am prepared to be flexible on the exact route.
Although I do not have any hands on boating experience, here's what I can offer on board:
- A motivated learner who listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and follows instructions
- Willingness to take night watches, cook, clean, and pitch in wherever I'm needed
- Reliable, easy-going, low-maintenance, and genuinely team-oriented
- No history of motion sickness
For the past years, I held a senior role at a leading video games company. It taught me how to solve problems on the fly and keep a level head when things get hectic - qualities I imagine translate well to life at sea.
I’m looking for a respectful, safe and friendly crew atmosphere. I’ll bring good energy, a calm head, and humour (even when the ocean decides to be dramatic).
If you’re planning a crossing soon and you’re still looking for a reliable crew member, I’d love to hear from you!
Fair winds,
Jessica
