Looking for a Novice Crew, Mile building or Competent Crew position
I have been fascinated with sailing since I was very young, and now want to actually make it more part of my life than just recreational sailing. I would like to seasonally sail professionally once. I have a Dutch sailing certificate for sail yachts (CWO JAZ-I), comparable to RYA competend crew. I sail small yachts a few weeks per year for 10 years now, but have never skippered. I recently started a course for ILCA sailing. I have little experience on open waters, but a broad understanding of the basics of sailing and I'm very enthusiastic to learn absolutely everything!
I just turned 23 years old, I'm a woman and I'm from The Netherlands. Currently I am studying Creative Writing at the art academy, but it's very independent at this stage. I have little hours in the classroom so I am quite flexible with being periods away. I hope to make some miles this season; to put what I've learned so far in practice and to prepare for the next exam. And mostly of course, to enjoy time out on the water. :) If you would like to share your knowledge, experience and seaman's stories with me, I would love love love to hear from you!
