Lifeguard from Uruguay looking for a crew position, open to different passages and opportunities
Hi, I’ve just joined Crewbay. I’m currently in Uruguay, South America, and I’m looking for an opportunity to sail, gain experience and help on board.
My main idea is to find a passage to or from Europe and the Caribbean, ideally sometime this year, but I’m also open to other routes, coastal passages, boat deliveries, mile building opportunities or any interesting sailing experience that may come up.
I have dual nationality, Uruguayan and Spanish, so I would have no issues entering or staying in Europe.
I have a strong connection with the sea: I work as a lifeguard on the beaches of Uruguay, I was a member of ACAL nautical club in Montevideo, where I practiced sailing, and I also have an advanced scuba diving certificate.
I studied construction, so I’m comfortable with practical work, maintenance, repairs, painting, cleaning, using tools and general hands-on tasks. I consider myself responsible, respectful, calm under pressure and willing to learn.
I would be happy to help on board with daily tasks, watches, cooking, cleaning, maintenance and anything needed during the trip. I’m looking forward to gaining more sailing experience, helping the crew and meeting good people along the way.
