Experienced Cruising Couple | Yachtmaster, Dive Instructor & Marine Electrician | Bahamas, Caribbean & Beyond
Hello! We're Kirk and Ariana, an adventurous married couple from the USA currently based in Mexico, looking to join private cruising boats for longer cruising adventures.
I'm an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Commercially Endorsed), PADI IDC Staff Instructor, ABYC Certified Marine Electrician, and have many years of sailing and boating experience. I'm comfortable standing watch, sail handling, docking, navigation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, diving on the hull, and helping with the countless jobs that keep a cruising boat running smoothly.
Ariana is easygoing, adaptable and enjoys all aspects of life aboard. She loves exploring new places, snorkeling, hiking, cooking, meeting new people and pitching in wherever needed. Together we make a great team and understand that successful cruising is built on cooperation, flexibility and a good sense of humor.
We're financially independent and not looking for a free vacation. We're happy to contribute toward reasonable shared expenses and believe everyone aboard should help with cooking, cleaning, provisioning and daily boat life.
Our interests include sailing, scuba diving, freediving, fishing, spearfishing, surfing, hiking and exploring remote islands and coastal communities. More than anything, we enjoy meeting interesting people and sharing memorable adventures.
We're particularly interested in opportunities in the Bahamas, Florida, the Caribbean and the Sea of Cortez, but we're open to other destinations if the crew and adventure are a good fit.
