Benalmadena/Fuengirola based Swedish/Spanish skipper, seeking voluntary mile building passages
Hi everyone,
I am a Swedish-certified commercial skipper living in Benalmádena, Spain, looking to build tidewater miles toward my RYA Yachtmaster certifications.
My Goal:
I am seeking voluntary mile-building opportunities on tidewater passages. Given my location on the Costa del Sol, I am ideally positioned for passages transiting through or starting around the Strait of Gibraltar, for passages to the Atlantic coast of Spain/Portugal, or North Africa.
What I Bring to Your Crew:
Qualifications: I hold a Swedish Fartygsbefäl klass VIII (Commercial Master Class VIII -Classroom based) competence, ensuring a strong foundation in navigation and safety. Also SRC, Radar and CEVNI inland waterways diplomas.
Experience: Inshore/coastal only.
Availability: Based locally in South of Spain, I can step aboard at short notice for yachts preparing to transit the Straits or heading out into the Atlantic. However, I am studying so only available for summer vacations (june-july-august), holidays or longer weekends.
I am a reliable, safety-first, and hard-working crew member ready to assist with watches, navigation, and boat handling in exchange for logged tidal miles. I will of course share any costs.
