Eager beginner, months free, ready to learn and work hard
Hey there :)
I'm based in Portugal and I want to learn to sail properly, by being useful on someone's boat, not by reading about it.
I'll be upfront: I'm a beginner with almost no sea miles. What I do bring is a completely open schedule (I can commit some months, not just a long weekend), a willingness to travel to meet the boat: mainland Portugal, the islands, the Med, or flying to a hub like the Canaries and I have no illusions about what crewing is.
I expect to take watches, cook, clean, scrub, and do the unglamorous jobs, and I'd rather be given real work than be a guest.
I'm looking for coastal trips and island hops to start, and I'd love to build toward an ocean crossing once I've earned it. Happy to share costs, and open to work-exchange.
I'm easy to live with in a small space, I don't create drama, and I'll say when I don't know something rather than guess. If you're heading somewhere and want a reliable extra pair of hands, get in touch.
