Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I’m Chris from Turkey, currently living in Vietnam. I’m an English teacher, traveler, and creative person who enjoys meeting people from different cultures and contributing positively to any team.
I have traveled to more than 34 destinations across different countries and continents, and these experiences have made me open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable in new environments. I enjoy learning from people, sharing stories, and creating meaningful connections wherever I go.
I’m looking for a recreational/volunteer crew opportunity where I can help, learn, and experience life at sea. While I’m not applying as a professional sailor, I’m enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to develop my sailing skills. I’m happy to assist with everyday tasks on board such as cleaning, organizing, provisioning, meal preparation, and supporting the crew wherever needed.
I speak several languages, communicate well with people from diverse backgrounds, and value respect, teamwork, and a positive atmosphere. I enjoy outdoor life, cycling, art, cooking, and exploring nature.
One of my long-term dreams is to sail from Ho Chi Minh City toward Hawaii and eventually continue on to South America, experiencing the Pacific Ocean step by step. For me, sailing is not only about reaching a destination—it is about sharing experiences, learning from others, and enjoying the journey together.
I’m easy-going, reliable, non-smoking, and I believe the best adventures happen when everyone contributes with good energy and an open heart.
