Beginner looking to learn sailing – Dec to Feb
Hi! I’m Jette, 22 and from Germany. I’m currently doing a semester abroad in Chile, where I study Natural Sciences for Sustainability. When my semester ends in mid-December, I’d love to spend some time travelling and hopefully learn how to sail along the way.
I don’t have any sailing experience yet, but I’m really motivated to learn and I’d love to actually be part of the crew rather than just come along as a passenger. I’m happy to help with everything on board and would love to learn things like steering, handling sails, navigation, anchoring and whatever else comes with living on a boat.
In general I spend a lot of my free time outdoors. I love connecting to nature while hiking, climbing, slacklining/ highlining and I’m currently getting more into surfing here in Chile. I like trying new things and being around the ocean is a big reason why sailing has been on my mind lately.
I’m available from around mid-December until the end of February and pretty flexible about where to go. Ideally I’d love to stay on board for several weeks or longer, so I can actually learn something and get some proper sailing experience.
I speak German and English and I’m currently improving my Spanish. I’d love to find a nice, relaxed crew, learn a lot and have a good adventure along the way :)
