Looking for a Deckhand or Mile building position
Hi I am Anas 25yo- I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Deckhand or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people! I’m a hardworking, easy-going and adaptable guy looking to join a sailing yacht in the US, Caribbean, or for an Atlantic crossing, but I’m also open to opportunities in other parts of the world.
I’ve spent the last few years working onboard cruise ships in the US, Mexico and the Caribbean as a surfing and watersports instructor. I’m used to living and working at sea, long days, being part of a multinational crew, and adapting quickly to new situations. I’ve also spent plenty of time around boats and the ocean throughout my life.
I’m now looking to move more seriously into sailing and gain real hands-on seamanship experience. I’m happy to start wherever I’m needed, get my hands dirty, learn from experienced sailors and contribute as much as possible to the boat and crew.
I hold STCW Basic Safety Training and RYA Powerboat Level 2, and I’m physically fit, reliable and comfortable with outdoor work and demanding schedules.
Ideally looking for:
Sailing yachts heading around the US / Caribbean
Atlantic crossings
Delivery passages or longer-term crewing opportunities
Opportunities in other regions and destinations
Opportunities where I can learn and build genuine sailing experience
I’m not expecting to walk onboard as an experienced sailor — I’m looking for the opportunity to learn, work hard and become a useful member of the crew.
If you’re looking for an extra pair of hands or know of a boat that could use someone with my background, feel free to get in touch.
