Atlantic Crossing / Mediterranean Sea / Caribbean Sea
Hello there!
The first ever experience I had with sailing was in Lake Balaton around 11-12 years old, after that I had to take a huge break due to financial reasons and started to sail again at 27 years old.
I sailed a lot at Lake Balaton, part took in races and recreational sailing at the same time.
I sailed at the Adreatic Sea 3 times now, I experienced days without wind, I experienced 3m high waves and 35 knots of wind, to this day that day to get to safety was scary, but we worked together and thanks to our experienced captian we did it, the next day we had to sail again in the same conditions 25-38 knots to get back to our original Marina, because the next day was projected to be even worse.
Sadly due to work I had to travel and I was unable to break away for even a week to go on longer trips.
Now that I have the proper free time to finally do sailing again, I want to partake in bigger trips. My final goal is a circumnavigation, but that is far-far away and I need to learn a lot more before I even attempt that.
That is why I want to do an Atlantic Crossing, I always dreamt about it, especially the clear night sky on a sailbot.
I am reliable, trustworthy, honest and flexible, the two negative things about me probably are that I snore a lot and I hate seafood (weird isn't it?).
I can cook, I can clean really well, I am able to swim really well, even in dangerous conditions, I am teamworker and I learn really fast.
What I cannot do is ship maintenance and repairs, never had the chance or the need to learn it, I wanted to do voluntary work at a dock, but never managed to do it sadly. I am more than happy to learn it. I am handy with tools and creative, so I am not a lost cause at all, just never had the chance to learn what to actually do.
The other thing that I cannot do is use diving equipment or dive without equipment, this is probably the only thing that I don't want to learn on the fly.
All in all, I love sailing, my mind and body switches gears when I am on a sailbot and I just feel amazing.
