I’m Lorenzo, I’m 28 years old and I’m planning to reach the Canary Islands by early October, then Cape Verde and the Caribbean. I’m planning to meet some friends in Brazil/Argentina next year and I want to gain more sailing experience, so I’m going to try to combine the two!
French/Basque, I speak French, English, Spanish fluently (and Basque…?).
??♀️ Passionate about mountain sports (highline, climbing, paragliding, canyoning, caving…) I have quite a lot of knowledge of knots and rope work! ?
?️ I’m handy. I completely converted the van I currently live and travel in! ? I have also already taken part in the antifouling of a boat and used my caving skills to replace an engine mount and install a Z-drive seal…
✍️ Engineer by training, if you have children in middle school/high school/preparatory classes, I can help with their studies!
⛵ In sailing, I have the basics but above all I’m eager to learn and practice more! This year I sailed on two boats in Greece last April and May: 100 nautical miles in 5 days from Preveza to Corfu, and 200 nautical miles in 10 days from Leonidio to Lesbos. Including a three-day, three-night passage close-hauled with watches…
? I really enjoy community life: whether it’s cooking, DIY, or playing board games ? (I do a lot of volunteering in communities and eco-villages).
I’m naturally cheerful, positive, motivated and proactive (in short, I’m easy to get along with!).
I can of course help before departure, whether with provisioning, organization or preparing the boat!
