About me:
Hi, I’m Ivan, an experienced offshore sailing crew member with 1,500+ nautical miles of sailing experience. I’m looking for opportunities as Delivery Crew, Deckhand or Competent Crew, with a strong interest in offshore passages, yacht deliveries and building documented sea miles.
My experience includes challenging North Atlantic and North Sea sailing, regular watches, night watches, helm, sail handling and general deck work.
In August 2026, I completed an offshore voyage from Aalborg, Denmark to the Faroe Islands and sailing around the Faroes from 2–14 August. During the passage towards the Faroes, including the area between the Shetland Islands and the Faroes, I completed two official night watches and gained experience in demanding North Atlantic conditions.
In August 2025, I sailed aboard Clipper Stad Amsterdam on the offshore passage from Lorient, France to IJmuiden, Netherlands, 8–15 August. I took part in regular watches, including night watches, helm, sail handling and deck operations during challenging weather conditions.
I am physically fit, reliable and comfortable working long watches and in difficult weather. I am flexible with destinations and dates. My main goal at this stage is to gain more serious offshore experience, build nautical miles and obtain properly documented sea time.
I am particularly interested in passages around Northern Europe, the North Atlantic, the Faroes, Iceland, Portugal, Madeira, the Azores and the Canary Islands, but I am open to almost any route.
RYA Day Skipper training/examination planned for October 2026.
Happy to help with watches, deck work, sail handling, manoeuvres, anchoring, mooring and general maintenance.
